In the concluded Premier League Matchweek 15, Liverpool was held to a 3-3 draw by Leeds United. Salah was left out of the starting lineup for the third consecutive game and failed to get any playing time.

Mohamed Salah is not expected to travel with Liverpool to face Inter Milan in Tuesday’s Champions League fixture, though a final decision has not yet been made.

The call will be jointly made by Sporting Director Richard Hughes and the club’s owners, which will also reflect their support for head coach Arne Slot.

Previously, Salah trained with his teammates on Monday and stated on Saturday that he felt "abandoned" by Liverpool, revealing that his relationship with Slot had broken down.

The 33-year-old made the remarks after Liverpool’s draw with Leeds United—his third consecutive game on the Reds’ bench and the second time he failed to get any playing time.

Salah hinted he could leave Anfield in January, claiming he had become a scapegoat for Liverpool’s poor form this season and insisting “someone doesn’t want me at the club.”

Liverpool does not view omitting the Egyptian international from the squad against Inter Milan as a disciplinary measure, but rather an isolated incident that will not affect Salah’s future appearances—including Saturday’s Premier League home game against Brighton & Hove Albion.

The club insists it still fully backs Salah and will honor his contract, which runs until 2027. Meanwhile, it stated that the current situation is only temporary and that a turnaround is still possible.

Liverpool has no plans to let Salah leave the club at present, nor does it intend to look for replacements in the January transfer window.
