The 33-year-old Neymar is currently on vacation, having just come through a grueling season where his club Santos only secured their league survival on the final matchday. The player has not yet decided whether he will stay at the Brazilian team.

Despite his injury-plagued physical condition being far from ideal, he still proved his worth with his goals.

Neymar has his heart set on the World Cup, but Carlo Ancelotti has not yet made it clear whether he will call him up for the 2026 tournament. Nevertheless, Neymar has been sending messages to him, hoping to be included in the squad, knowing full well that this will be his last World Cup. In recent hours, he dropped the latest hint at an event in São Paulo co-hosted with singer Thiaguinho.

"We will spare no effort and even defy the impossible to bring the World Cup trophy back to Brazil," he stated clearly, voicing his aspiration for the title. "If we make it to the final, I guarantee I will score a goal. Come July, you can hold me to that promise," Neymar added, before sending a message to head coach Ancelotti: "Come on, Ancelotti! Please help us, will you?" Neymar last wore the Brazil national team jersey back on October 18, 2023, but he has never given up hope of returning to the squad.
