Arsenal will not provide extra security for Diego Simeone at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday.
The Atlético Madrid manager clashed with Liverpool fans during his team's 2-3 defeat at Anfield in September and was banned by UEFA for his antics.
Previously, Simeone served a touchline ban during last month’s 5-1 Champions League win over Eintracht Frankfurt but will return to the touchline to coach against Arsenal.
However, Arsenal officials have decided not to deploy additional security around Simeone, as they believe home fans are unlikely to attack the Argentine coach like Liverpool fans did.
Furthermore, the layout of the away team’s dugout and home stands means the manager is farther from fans than he is at Anfield.
Security personnel will still be present if any issues arise during the match. After the incident in Merseyside, UEFA found Simeone guilty of "unsportsmanlike conduct".
Virgil van Dijk scored the winning goal in the 92nd minute, and Simeone reacted after being provoked by a small group of home fans.
The famous Argentine manager complained to the fourth official and had to be pulled away from the scene.
He continued to protest, was eventually sent off, and led away through the tunnel.
