Chelsea winger Madueke is set to join Arsenal in a deal worth £52 million including add-ons, with Chelsea having agreed to let him leave.
Madueke reached an agreement with Arsenal over a five-year contract a few days ago, and he is now on the verge of completing the transfer.
Talks between Chelsea and Arsenal over Madueke progressed very quickly due to the strong relationship between the two clubs. Arsenal believe he still has significant potential. Mikel Arteta has been actively pushing for the player, having spoken to him in recent days—even before the deal was finalized.
The 23-year-old Madueke’s contract with Chelsea was set to run until 2030. The English winger currently has a market value of €40 million according to Transfermarkt.
Last season, Madueke made 46 appearances for Chelsea across all competitions, starting 33 of them, and contributed 11 goals and 4 assists.
