Liverpool are planning to initiate preliminary talks over signing Eintracht Frankfurt forward Randal Kolo Muani, with a prerequisite that Uruguayan striker Darwin Núñez leaves the club first.
Intermediaries have informed Frankfurt of Liverpool's intention to open negotiations. The Bundesliga side believes they will eventually receive an £86 million (€100 million) offer from Liverpool. While Newcastle United, Chelsea, Al-Hilal and Al-Qadsiah have also shown interest in Ekitike, Liverpool are perhaps the most committed suitor. Frankfurt holds a firm stance, insisting they will not sell at a reduced price, stating they will only consider a discount if circumstances are favorable close to the transfer deadline.
With other Premier League giants yet to make a clear move to sign him, Liverpool holds a relatively strong position in negotiations. However, Liverpool must first complete the sale of Núñez to push forward with the Ekitike deal. Frankfurt stands firm on Ekitike's valuation; the player has four years left on his contract with the club, and with bonus clauses activated, his weekly wage exceeds £80,000, while the club currently has no pressure to sell him.
Additionally, regarding winger Luis Díaz, Liverpool have refused to engage with Bayern Munich over the Colombian's transfer, consistently making it clear they will not sell the player. To date, they have rejected all related attempts from other clubs. Liverpool have not received any official offers, and beyond stating their position, they have no intention of communicating with Bayern or discussing any offers.
