According to the latest reports from multiple media outlets, Inter Miami CF is facing growing difficulties in retaining forward Tadeo Allende. Allende performed exceptionally well in the MLS Playoffs, but under relevant regulations, he can only stay with Inter Miami if he occupies one of the team’s Designated Player (DP) spots. For this reason, Inter Miami has to consider other personnel options, and Argentine international Giovani Lo Celso has entered their transfer radar as a key target.
Inter Miami’s interest in Lo Celso remains strong, and they have maintained close attention. If Inter Miami can make a sufficiently attractive offer, Lo Celso himself is willing to play in the United States. Particularly with the 2026 World Cup to be held in North America, this factor has further increased Lo Celso’s willingness to move to the U.S.
It is understood that Real Betis, Lo Celso’s current club, has set a transfer fee of €5 million for him. As of now, no formal negotiations have been launched between Inter Miami and Real Betis regarding Lo Celso’s transfer.
After winning the championship, Inter Miami quickly shifted its focus to signings. They have successfully signed Sergio Reguilón as a replacement for Jordi Alba. Reguilón has previous experience playing in the Premier League and is a product of Real Madrid’s youth academy. In addition, Inter Miami has also secured the signing of Dayne St. Clair, the MLS Goalkeeper of the Season, who is expected to become the starting goalkeeper for the Canada national team at the 2026 World Cup.
