Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) midfielder Vitinha gave an interview in the mixed zone after the team’s 2-1 comeback victory over Barcelona.
“This game was really fantastic. Personally, I’m proud of this team because we’ve had several comeback moments before.
We had five regular starters missing from the game, and there were also some players who don’t get much playing time—but they responded brilliantly. I want to thank all my teammates.
There were some verbal statements before the game; situations like this happen sometimes. We didn’t care. We played the game, we won it, and we’re happy about that.
What kind of achievement is this?
I don’t know. We always have the ability to win, no matter who the opponent is or where they are. Playing away is tough—you might concede a goal if you’re not careful.
But we pulled it off, and that’s impressive. We have a very strong squad, and the coach is excellent too. When you achieve results like this once, twice, three times, you really start to feel that you have the ability to do it again.”
