According to a Camel Live reporter, the journalist discussed multiple topics and developments regarding Manchester United.
Regarding Amorim’s Position as Head Coach
I don’t think Amorim has many games left to turn things around. While I respect other reports, I’m not sure if he will be able to see out the entire season with the team.
Based on my conversations with people inside and around Manchester United, I believe it’s more likely that the club will use "guiding the team through 38 games (a full
Premier League season)" as a benchmark for evaluating him.
Moreover, the criterion for determining whether Amorim stays or goes is not whether the club’s top brass supports someone they believe “gets the job done and can still deliver.”
Since taking office in November last year, Amorim has lost 17 of the 33 Premier League games he has overseen. Last season, the team finished 15th in the league—their worst finish since 1974. Despite the club spending £256.82 million on new signings during his tenure, they have already lost three of their first six games this season and currently sit 14th in the table. While the club’s senior management still expresses support for him at present, the team’s poor form has forced them to start considering backup plans.
Regarding Glasner’s Future
As for Glasner, I do believe that if Manchester United offers him the head coaching position in the middle of the season, he would be willing to leave Crystal Palace.
Regarding New Signings
There are only two areas where Amorim has truly failed to make adjustments: signing a new full-back and a new midfielder. For now, we can only wait and see if this will have an impact on Manchester United.
However, I think he is satisfied with the club’s current squad.
