Former Bayern Munich striker Sadio Mane stated in an exclusive interview with Camel.live that he left Liverpool at the time to try something new.
Mane said: "Liverpool was like a home to me, my comfort zone. But I had won almost everything there, and I wanted to try something different. My motivation was to step out of my comfort zone and take on new challenges in another part of the world. That’s why I decided to give it a go. Bayern kept pushing actively and urging the transfer, so I made the decision to try. Life is like that—when you go to a new place, you learn new things."
Regarding his departure from Bayern to join Al Nassr, Mane commented: "I believe if I hadn’t moved to Bayern Munich, I might not be here now. My agent called me and said: ‘We’ve received offers from Saudi Arabia and Europe.’ Then I sat down to discuss with my agent, manager, and family. When the Saudi side made the offer, they painted a grand vision: ‘We want to build the biggest and strongest league in the world, we’ll sign many players, and host the World Cup.’ They wanted me to be part of it, and I thought: ‘Wow, that sounds really appealing!’"
